Radiant Domes

Utility

The Domes have several uses. These domes are made of pure light, woven together so that it shimmers vaguely. The fibers block any Shadowspawn from entering the Dome, and they provide constant illumination.

Manufacturing

Little knowledge survives, but Coriander wrote in his journal that each thread of the Dome had to be individually crafted by a wizard, then woven into the greater whole. The threads are roughly a centimeter thick. This makes the job practically impossible, even with 300 skilled wizards working on a Dome at the same time. Coriander had something up his sleeve, but no surviving information on the subject exists.

Access & Availability

The method for creating Radiant Domes has long since been lost. Cities with a dome are immune to attack by the Shadowspawn , and have light throughout the day.

Complexity

The secrets to making a Radiant Dome were so complicated that Archmage Saffeld had teams of 300 skilled wizards working on one at a time. He could barely comprehend the majesty of the creation.

Discovery

Radiant Domes were invented by Archmage Coriander Saffeld, in response to the Nightwatcher Crisis. The technology was found in an ancient civilization long buried by earth and time.
