Shadowspawn

Shadowspawn are less of a race than a set of beings. Any creature that is born out of the Shadow is a Shadowspawn. They have the powers of the Shadow, and are bent on its purposes.

Anatomy

Varies. Shadowspawn all share a dark complexion with violent red eyes, however.

The Shadowspawn live in the Shadow, and cannot abide the Light.

Social Structure

The creatures do seem to have a structure. Scholars have not determined its exact nature, but it seems that they have a hierarchy. No one knows how it is determined, but higher ranks are almost always more dangerous.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Shadowspawn can sense creatures of the Light from 60 feet away.

Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms

Shadowspawn carry a horde of parasitic insect-like creatures. These creatures will transfer onto anything the Shadowspawn bites, giving them the parasite. This parasite will eventually control the mind of the host, forcing them to come of one of the Darkpools and become a Shadowspawn. The host must get to a healer or step inside a Radiant Dome before 72 hours passes.

Until slain or dismissed by the Nightwatcher

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Shadowspawn are a darker shade of whatever color they were originally. They have red eyes that shine faintly.
