Corrupter

Infernal dealmakers the corrupter falls into one of two origins:

• Forged: Infernal beings created by Aeon on the Forge of Chaos to tempt mortals
• Pactborn: Mortals who were transformed by the infernal taint

Basic Information

Anatomy

Like most infernal beings the corrupter can alter it's form to fit their needs. When first born a Forged corrupter will be little more than inert blobs of liquid. These fierce creatures easily take the form of a humanoid transforming their bodies into human like shapes with natural weapons like claws to slash at foes. With supreme agility with maneuverability their malliable form allows them to resist many weapons.

Genetics and Reproduction

An infernal corrupter is either made on the Forge of Chaos or by corrupting a mortal and passing on the infernal taint. While a tainted humanoid can become any type of infernal a corrupter is born from mortals who have manipulative, conniving, and or meddling.

Growth Rate & Stages

Forged are made and do not alter themselves beyond the superficial outward appearance to fit their needs. Occasionally an Forged will survive long enough to learn enough of mortal minds that they become more proficient and be considered advanced corrupters but they are rare. Pactborn begin their existence after the infernal taint has consumed the mortal soul and a corrupter is born of a susceptible host. While the newly made corrupter has many of their memories from their past the transition from mortal to infernal is not perfect. Considered immature a Pactborn will not be recognized as a full infernal by the other corrupters until they have made their first pact with a mortal. Then should a mature Pactborn survive long enough it can grow into an advanced corrupter or even a greater corrupter.

Ecology and Habitats

The species is found almost exclusively within the Chaotic Hells of the First World but whenever possible they sent into the Second World to peddle their influences and taint any mortal they can.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Infernals have the corrupted divine spark that sustains their bodies indefinitely.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Almost all Infernal creatures can be found in the Inferno. A few exist within the second world though as soon as they are found they usually are destroyed.

Average Intelligence

The infernal corrupter is one of the more intelligent of infernal beings, most are born of those cultists who have willed their souls to Aeon and the Inferno or have themselves been tricked into the Inferno. Their souls are used upon the Forge of Chaos and from them the more intelligent infernal are born. A corrupter who has just been created has the average intelligence of an adolescent mortal but with each dealing it learns from its experiences. Without the help of mortals infernals cannot enter the Second World. Infernals Corrupters “mark” the souls of mortals they slay or those offered to them in bargains.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

An infernal corrupter has senses above most mortals with the added ability to sense innocence.
