Viscount Avior's Revolt

On Altair 10th, 7789, Viscount Avior Gladwin of Valen rose up in revolt against his liege, Piautos Lerant, Duke of Noime, over a sudden and - in his opinion - excessive tax.   With his extensive military experience, Avior was able to put the numerically-superior forces of the Duke on the back foot. As the Duke called up more of his banners, however, the revolt turned to a grueling stalemate, and Avior's castle came under a bloody siege.   The 7th Lancer Wing was dispatched by the Menhir of Fomalhaut to bring the rebellion to an end as they saw fit. Eventually, they negotiated a peace where Avior would abdicate his position in favor of his son as punishment for his rebellion and Piautos would waive the tax. Avior was subsequently appointed as an instructor at the Royal Legionary Army Academy.
