Sacred Vesarca The Kingdom of the Black Stone

You are a Listener, one of the blessed few who hear the Whispers of The Menhir of Fomalhaut, the Black Stone. Moreover, you are a Messenger: one who brings the good news to the people of Sacred Vesarca, a defender of crown and faith. You - like all Listeners - are a living saint, infallible and inviolate. The words of the Menhir - the words you carry - are law, and bind even the mightiest kings of Vesarca. In the end, you are compelled only by the will of the Stone, beholden to the royalty and nobility of your people only so far as they do not contradict your sacred orders.   You, however, are elect even among the Messengers: a pilot of the Habit Inviolable, the great suits of walking armor manifested ex nihilo at the foot of the Menhir of Fomalhaut. These pilots are known colloquially as Lancers, named for the lance carried by the first of their number, Saint Achernar. Lancers are the champions of the Circle, peerless warriors and shining exemplars to all of Vesarca. The names of Lancers past echo throughout history: Saint Menasseh ov Crosli, Saint Talitha the Wolf, Saint Boldizar the Merciful ov Odriaft.
