The Statesman
The Representative of the Gods (a.k.a. King of the Fatherland and the Silver Tongued)
The X (The 10th)
One of few God Kings who actually reside on Earth. The Statesman is the tenth of the original God Kings. He is the patron God of politicians, leaders, diplomats, and officials. He is also the God Kings' representative, mediating on their behalf. The Statesman is also the ruler of Zarmuda. The Statesman was instrumental for convincing the Martocrat Abelech the Apostate from turning back and sparing the Fatherland of Zarmuda from a grueling war of attrition. The Statesman is a popular God of worship for those in positions of power. Noble Families tend to pray to the Statesman, asking for strength of will, a persuasive argument, and to bless any decision they make in a house of law or government. The Statesman represents power and all ruling elite invoke his power. The same cannot be said for other classes. For the middle class, the Statesman is a representation of the treachery and ambition of powerful rulers. For the lower class he is even reviled as being responsible for the misery they suffer at the hands of their betters. Scholars and monks however praise the Statesman for bringing about a peaceful resolution with Abelech the Apostate during the War of Zealots and Martyrs. The Statesman is unofficially considered by some to be a peacemaker, brokering deals and ensuring nations do not collapse into chaos."By his hand, the Statesman cools the raging heart. With his words he speaks the Father and Mother's Peace." From the Deia Scriptura
