Father and Mother, the Couple
The Father, Patriarch of the God Kings and The Mother, Matriarch of the God Kings (a.k.a. The Couple, the Divine Aspects of Creation and Destruction, Love and Hate, Life and Death)
The I and the II (The 1st and 2nd)
The rulers of Heaven, the Father and Mother were the first to begin shaping the world. They are the most revered of the Gods, as the other original God Kings and Queens were born from their union. According to Zarmudan priests, monks, missionaries, and scholars The Father and the Mother came to this world from a ship. They are collectively known as the Couple and are often worshipped together.
They are complete opposites but in this way they bring out the best of each other. The Father can be a stern, merciless figure who is often calmed by the gentle and kind speech of his wife, the Mother. The Mother can be a nurturing and loving creature but can fall into the depths of rage and fury. They play off each other, their divergent aspects ensuring balance in the world.
Popular depictions of the Gods show them hand in hand. They are the pinnacle of holiness, infallible and incorruptible. Theirs is the holiness that all should aspire to. It is rare that they are worshipped separate. When they are, it is usually in their preferred aspects.
"Hand in Hand they came upon these shores. Hand in Hand they tamed the Skies and calmed the Seas. Hand in Hand they created Heaven and Earth. Together they are inseparable. One our Father, our protector and our sovereign. One our Mother, our loving and merciful host. Hand in hand they rule over Heaven and all on Earth. Praise be to the Father and Mother. It is their just due." From the Deia Scriptura
