Rokhia
The setting is so far named Rokhia after the largest and most advanced empire on the continent.
Men share the world with archbeasts. These intelligent animals are uncommon, and their behaviors and motivations range from synergistic to extraordinarily dangerous. They're living things, born naturally, but warped by that
otherness, the otherness wrought by Old Things that propagates itself surreptitiously through all life. The Old Things walk the land in privacy, garnering that same awe any deity or myth attracts. They answer to nothing, they just
are.
The setting is the western half of the continent. The eastern half is an impassable, pulverized wasteland of vitrified sand called the Sea of Suns. There may be more beyond it, but no one knows for certain. Farther north from the midlands is the vast taiga and tundra of Huntress, and beyond that the arctic White Sea. The western coast segments into an array of huge islands, the largest of which are
Isle Silloch, Isle Rhylan, and Isle Corova, each home to their respective greater houses and clans. The south grows drier until it reaches the vast territory of Rokhia and the
Rokhian Empire. The empire stretches from dry scrublands to a humid, semitropical expanse bordering on the Glass Sea, the southernmost border of the continent.
