The White Tower

An idyllic paradise high above the magioactive clouds that now fill the skies of Rockfall. Once a rooftop garden observatory for elven scientists to gaze at the heavens, now the final home for the few remaining high elves. Less than 200 elven scientists remain. Not a true society, instead, most of these forlorn elves use the remainder of their long lives in an attempt to preserve what knowledge they can for whatever life emerges from the rubble. Still, the tower is as much prison as refuge. Many of these elves are beginning to curse their expansive lifespans. (Indeed, anguish rocked the community when the first elf flung themself over the tower's edge.) Others spend their days scrying the surface of Rockfall, seeking a sign of life, a spark of hope, something, anything besides the undead who continue to war across the gray wasteland of the world.
