Goldcrest
As the capital city of the Xoltun Empire, Goldcrest exudes beauty and class. The streets are well kept and the latest Elegite technology is quickly implemented, such that High Crest is lit at night by Elegite street lamps. Even the Glades and the Outer Reaches benefit from this, with Renewers being seen each morning hurrying about their business, and almost every house proudly displaying their Elegite lamps. Perhaps the most iconic piece of Arcanist engineering is the Thunderwagon. Goldcrest's Thunderwagon station is located just northeast of the city, but the sounds of the vehicles are often heard in the city.o
The Imperial Park is frequented by locals and tourists both, and boasts an impressive collection of fruit trees and fountains. In the centre of it all stands a 7 metre tall golden statue of Emperor Xoltus Antius, founder of the great Empire. Covering him is a massive cloak of gold topped by the symbol of the Watcher, which rises high above and gazes over the park. Children often play here, and its central location makes it a prime place to find street performers and wandering merchants, as well as interesting locale.
Despite its gleaming facade, Goldcrest is plagued by crime, with the Hammer making its home somewhere within the city. Recently, attacks have become more common, with shops in the Glades being ransacked and a series of kidnappings leading to a rise in security. The Clock also operate here, albeit much more secretly, and tensions between the two groups are nearing a breaking point. Most residents of Goldcrest do their best to avoid either organisation, but many of the wealthy hire one or the other to serve as bodyguards and messengers, among other things. Even the Order of Vigilance pays Clock members in order to thwart the plans of the Hammer, though this has done little to curb the Hammer's growing power. Rumours spread of a potential revolution stirring, but these have been quickly quashed by the Oathsworn.

Artisan Quarter
Blacksmiths, carpenters, glassblowers - all operate in an orderly fasion in the Artisan Quarter of city. The Empire helps subsidise living costs of labourers so that they may improve the city's economy, and by doing so, are also able to control housing. The Artisan Quarter is in the northeast part of the city, bordering High Crest. Here one can find every kind of artisan one may need, for a fair price as well. High Crest
High Crest is occupied by nobles, wealthy merchants, and the most prestigious of the Order of Vigilance. Gated off to the rest of the city, Oathsworn guard the entrance diligently, as more than a few peasants dream of entering it freely. When the Emperor sits council, the main gate is left open and Oathsworn escort peasants into the audience chamber of the palace, but this part of High Crest is all most people see. Located in the northwest sector of Goldcrest, High Crest does not contain much to do for its residents. The Imperial House tavern is mainly reserved for guests of state and other renowned individuals, and the majority of the buildings are occupied by Goldcrest's chapter of the Arcanists. However, many functions are held in the palace itself, and residents of High Crest are often found lounging in the palace gardens. That being said, most who live in High Crest are rarely there, often needing to attend to business elsewhere in their hectic schedules. Owning a property here is more of an announcement of ones wealth than a practical investment The Glades
The bulk of the city is made up of the Glades, a residential area. This stretches from the northeastern gate, past Imperial Park and until the southwestern gate, excluding the west side of the city. Most people in Goldcrest live here, making a living through a variety of professions, many working for the Empire itself. The Glades is wrich with taverns, bars and shops, and also contains the main Temple and the Bank. Additionally, the Goldcrest Central Library is located here, near Imperial Park, and also serves as the headquarters for both the Dynasty Keepers and the Traveller's Guild. The eastern side of this district has a large open plaza which has recently been converted into a training ground for the Champions' Guild. Some matches of the annual Tournament of Champions are held here, with the majority being held in the palace grounds. Merchant Quarter
The southeast portion of the city is the designated Merchant Quarter, with traders of all sorts of repute operating here. Merchant Square is very popular with locals and tourists alike, and one often finds mahy exotic goods here in the summer when trade has been good. Even the nobles of High Crest do their shopping here, often spending hundreds of gold pieces on the latest fashion. Whatever your taste, the Merchant Quarter is sure to stock something of your fancy. Outer Reaches
Commoners, peasants and those who wish to avoid the law make their home in the Outer Reaches, the western part of the city. Housing here is cheap, and Oathsworn patrols are rare due to the heightened presence of the Hammer in this area. The Empire cannot afford to police this area constantly due to the sheer amount of crime that occurs, and so it leaves its denizens to their devices while it focuses on the other districts. Though crime is concentrated here, the Outer Reaches are not inherently unsafe for its residents. It is also the place to acquire and sell forbidden goods due to its criminal locale. They say Sledge makes his home somewhere in the Outer Reaches, but those who know where are just as difficult to find as the kingpin himself.
