Anshe was an arcane mage, extremely knowledgeable in many fields. She took part in the fight against Calamity. As powerful as Anshe was, she is often overshadowed by Nylly Livsey. It is assumed that Anshe was bitter about this, although it was known that the two were also dating.
In the middle of the fight, Anshe and Nylly disappeared. Nylly was kidnapped or coerced by Anshe to leave. The disappearance was sudden, throwing the world back into chaos from the brief sense of stability Nylly provided.
Previously the savior of the world, she and Nylly become villains. When they disappeared, knowledge of the Calamity was put behind, and it is estimated that it could have been taken under control years earlier if they had been present.
