Reshule (reh-shool)

Hailing from the country of Reshulery, located on the fifth moon of the first gas giant orbiting the sixth star within the Chaos System, the Reshule are comprised of a great mix of species, mostly Alliance members and species considered friends of the Alliance. Like most other planets and people within the Chaos System, the Reshule are renowned for the numerous products they manufacture and export. The Reshule's speciality is alcohol and other pleasure-focused products. One particularly sort after export (at least amongst Humans and those who enjoy consuming alcohol) is known as Chaos Cider.

A Pleasure-Driven People

The Reshule are highly pleasure motivated, most believing that the greatest pursuit in life is the pleasure of oneself and others. They generally agree that whatever gives a person pleasure should be freely available and fully legal. The only exception to this ethos is with regards to violence, which they believe should only be undertaken in dire circumstances for the defence of oneself and others.

 

Do No Harm

The second key belief of the Reshule is that what gives pleasure to one should not cause displeasure to another. This ethos prevents those living in or visiting Reshulery from committing crimes such as theft, murder or assault. In fact, due to their pleasure-focused beliefs, the Reshule have no sign of poverty within their recorded history, since the trade rules and lack of currency present in Reshulery provide the basic needs for every visitor to and person living in the country. This lack of poverty and richness of freely available resources makes theft almost unheard of among the Reshule.

This belief to do no harm to others has caused the Reshule to form laws about the distribution of potentially harmful substances, such as drugs, alcohol, and Reshulean pleasure disks. Though all of these products are widely available across the country of Reshulery, no Reshule will give or trade such a product to someone it may kill or otherwise damage.

 

Common Dress Code

There is no dress code within the general public of Reshulery as everyone is free to wear whatever makes them most comfortable. However, individual businesses may have dress codes for hygiene or health reasons, such as those who produce food or drink products, or those who work within the volcano located to the West of the country.
