Pryaflide

There are many sicknesses throughout the world, and along with those sicknesses there are many cures.
Each cure, specially designed for a certain sickness.
And each sickness in it's own way has both destroyed and devastated the world.
But one of the most common cures is called Pryaflide.
Designed to assist in curing the disease called Fraga Hydrorhagia, Pryaflide is a specially concocted liquid medicine with extremely potent properties and which has been refined over some hundred years in order to better combat the disease, always with varying degrees of success along the way.
Pryaflide is a liquid-based medicine which is commonly used via injection and IV tubes inside hospitals and other medical centers. It is widely produced across the continent in ready and even overstocking quantities to make sure that, should a mass outbreak suddenly occur throughout a country or the whole continent, that ready supply will be available for all who find need of it during the time whenever such an outbreak may or may not sweep across the country. It is also a controversial medicine due to the symptom of a rise in body temperature which results in fevers of varying degrees in the patient being given the medicine, but this is a side effect of the chemicals within the medicine, which causes it to rest at a warm temperature during initial storage. For this reason, the medicine is held in temperature controlled storage vaults to keep it from reaching too high of a temperature which might cause damage to the bottles or bags that it is stored inside.
Pryaflide is made from the products of several plants, most of which are commonly grown throughout the country to readily provide the ingredients for the manufacturing process. One of the necessary components of Pryaflide is not as common, and is only grown in certain locations and sold for a private price to the hospitals and manufacturers who produce the medicine. This less common plant is called the Athadian Starberry, and is more of a fungus than a berry despite it's name.
It grows in clumps of land, especially damp, rocky caves also adorned with moss and other lichen, and can be found several meters underground unless the proper setup has been made in an aboveground location. This berry-like fungus is known for it's bulbous and pliant nature, as well as the glowing appearance and light that they give off in their native underground cave environment when growing and remaining stagnant before being harvested. They can grow as large as a human fist - if not slightly larger - and start off about as small as a pea. The skin of the Starberry is thin and yet sturdy, able to hold the glowing, warm contents inside much akin to the shell of an egg. The skin, if broken properly, can be removed and salvaged for other medicinal means. The liquid substance inside the berry is quite thick at the time of harvest and must be broken down and diluted with other medical substances in order to be further manufactured into it's medicinal form for use in hospitals, but if the process is done carefully and efficiently, the medicine that results is known to have a high success rate in fighting the Fraga Hydrorhagia disease in almost every single patient case.
The first recorded success of the medicine was in nineteen-seventeen in Opron, after a scientist had fallen ill with Fraga and had been told that he only had around two months to live. At this time, an experimental version of the Pryaflide had been created in labs and was in need of a field test. Luckily, the patient was accepting of this fact and allowed the test to move forward. Over the next three months he was watched and given doses of the medicine until his condition had improved enough to result in his discharge from the hospital in which he had been held. He spent the rest of his life on medications to combat the disease, as methods to remove the parasite which caused the disease by burrowing into the skin hadn't been invented yet by the doctors and their methods of curing patients of different illnesses and diseases.
