Grey Tooth Cove

The spine of the great beast, who's bones lay draped over the Pale Mountains, leads to this lonely beach. The creatures teeth and skull fragments now litter the sands, and extend far out to sea.

A treacherous, rocky cove on the northeastern shore of the Hinterlands. The cove is littered with huge, jagged, tooth-like stones. These "teeth" litter the vast sandy beach and extend far out into the sea, making any and all boat landings extremely dangerous, if not impossible.

After the expeditions into the Hinterlands began, archaeologists discovered this cove and theorized that the rocks were actually the teeth and skull fragments of the great creature who's spine is draped over the towering peaks of the Pale Mountains. Excavations later proved that the rest of the massive creature's skull is buried deep beneath the sand and the waves. The fossilized bones of this creature hum faintly with an ancient magic, and many samples have been collected over the centuries for study, in attempts to discern its true origins.

Geography

This vast rocky beach is dotted with huge, jagged protrusions that erupt from the sand and frigid waters of the Sea of Black Ice, and the entire area is littered with the shattered remnants of ancient ships that were dashed against the teeth while attempting to make landfall.

Fauna & Flora

The shipwrecks that litter the beach are often covered in all varieties of kelp and mosses that grow or get washed ashore on the cold sea spray. Mussels, barnacles, and limpets cover the rotting wood and metal of the wrecks, and thousands of crabs and sea roaches make their homes within the ships.

Perhaps the strangest thing of all, is the unusual amount of snakes that burrow into the sand and make their homes near the countless teeth on this beach. Perhaps they were drawn to the magic emanating from the teeth?
