Wild Walking

The Magic of Nature

The magic users who wish to tap into the true nature of green mana often find themselves at the very edges of the known world looking out into the untamed wild. This is when they must choose if the will start Wild Walking and if they will become a Warden. Wardens use every aspect of green mana. To do so they become one with the form of life that draws from it the most, plants. In the movements of the seasons and the song of the forests and jungles Wardens discover the secrets of magic no one else possibly can. Wardens can touch a tree and see across miles, travel great distances through morning fog in an instant, and walk across the water as if it is as solid as stonework. True master Wardens are said to be able to speak to rocks and whisper to the wind itself or even transform into wild beasts to defend the woods they call home.

Author's Notes

Wardens are an old holdover from my D&D setting and I am tremendously happy to bring them back. In a setting where druids don't really exist, this incarnation is more similar to them and will hopefully fill a similar niche without just being more of the same.

I adore how Wardens work. Their senses intertwined with nature to the point of interaction.
