The Sistra

A matriarchal lodge, the Sistra is one of the founding lodges of the Council of Lodges. Revering the warrior goddess Bastet, the Sistra revel both in their femininity and savagery. In El-Men town, the Sistra has forged a wildly successful theatre scene and released inter-planetary tours of music and holo-performances. They actively recruit entertainment talent, and each member of the Sistra is skilled in a form of performance. Ever the impresaria, the Sistra are fierce duelists preferring one on one combat with heavy damage weapons. Entire operas are dedicated to Sistra duels.

Using their influence as agents and entertainers, the Sistra acquire vast amounts of information about Who Knows Who. Quite often, they have as good an idea about what’s going on in Metropolis Politics as the politicians. Their leaders, the nine Abasi, are among the most influential and feared women in the Metropolis. While men are welcome as members of the Sistra, none has ever attained the rank of Abasi.
