This recent discovery and influx of peoples are a little bit analogous to how on earth many people moved to America because of needing a home with more opportunities, be that for the exploration of a new world or to escape the terrors of their homeworld. Some peoples already were there before, such as the lizard people of the swamps (not much is known about how and when they arrived in this land). The natives are, as with the Americas, not widely considered to be owners of their own lands due to the difference in culture :(

Many animals and plants from across the multiverse can be found in this world.
One thing that is unique to this world is a magical kind of stone dubbed 'gate-stone', as well as the unique sky. When looking upwards on clear days, a faint, daily-changing, pattern can be seen. There is no one scientific agreed-upon theory as to the star constellations that can be seen on clear nights as it is a topic still debated amongst the scientific community.
