Eldritch Gods

In the First valley, 11 eldritch gods are the mainstream gods, those of the natives and adapted by many of the colonizers, though gods from across the multiverse are worshipped. The linchpin, the all-father, is AhSh, the great creator of the realm. Likened to a beholder from the far realm, it is said they imagined the world and it came to be as they thought it should. They also created the 10 gods, one for each of their eyes, save for one. This new group of gods is often referred to as the 'host of Voices' and individual gods are called a 'Voice'

Summary

Each Voice has their own domain(s)
AhSh - (Arcana) Voice of all creation, Voice of Voices

Kaadhren - (Knowledge) Voice of Information and secrets, keeper of history
Yidor'gna - (Life/Nature) Voice of growth and cultivation
Uz'alarh - (Light) Voice of fire, light, and sight
Ezebhi - (Tempest) Voice of fury, anger, and weather
Gaarralbh - (Trickery) Voice of betrayal and lies
Yvrarol - (War) Voice of honor and fighting
V'izh'karh - (Death/Grave) Voice of the dead, and keepers of the dead
Yad'yjh'kelb - (Forge) Voice of tools and patron of the arts
Cthexhah - (Peace/Order) Voice of law and rule
Yoshodhra - (Twilight) Voice of endings     Some people go so far as to say that each god is just an aspect of AhSh (and through worshipping any of them they worship the whole host of Voices), some others prefer to think of them as splintered personalities, Having had enough time to warp and change into their own entirely separate entity

Historical Basis

It took a while for the Voices to let themselves be known to the newly arrived settlers, some say they are more likely to reveal themselves to souls born in the dark world. Certain and very real is the power given to their clerics to use. Their powers somehow seem required for fluent use of the pyramid in Gatestone.
Following a slew of droughts, in 42 AD the clergy in Gatestone took control of administration of the city. Since 75 AD the clergy has services in every city within the Valley

Spread

While worship of the host of Voices is most popular in Gatestone it is spread throughout the First Valley and a temple is never more than one town away. In Gatestone however, much of the governance is influenced and controlled by the clergy of these gods. The higher priests refer to themselves as speakers of the voices.
