The Stonebreakers
The Stonebreakers were the first ever professional Blood Ball team to form and have always been comprised entirely of dwarves, halflings and gnomes with the occasional Goblin. The sport was originally created by the dwarves of the mountains to the north - west of Winval and so the Stonebreakers have always been a big name in the sport's history. Their current emblem symbolises the fact Blood Ball was originally played in the dwarven caves with nothing but a lantern for light and a barrel of ore to serve as the ball. Their strategy is aggressive and involves a lot of charging and diving on their opponents to get straight into hand to hand brawling as they would've done when the sport was created.
Their armour is a healthy middle weight decorated with grey and gold detailing and runes of protection written along their forearms.
History
The Stonebreakers founded the first ever stadium tournament of Blood Ball in 2784 and lost to the human team, The Lion's Paws. This marked the first of what would become an annual sporting event that now attracts spectators from across the continent.
