The Bloody Squids

The Bloody Squids are a Blood Ball team comprised of a Tiefling captain who was usually a runner, and five water - Elfes. The two who play as knights wear heavy elven armour and have been known to use minor incantations to defend their zone. The runners wear barely any armour at all, just black shoulder plates and knee pads decorated with the red squid of their emblem. The Bloody Squids rely on their nimbleness and ability to slip out of the way when competing and it is a surprisingly effective strategy. Because of this, they ensure the little armour they do wear is as light as possible so that they face as little hindrance as possible.

History

The Bloody Squids were founded when a tiefling called Thalmor Crux introduced the sport to a colony of water - elves to the east of Winval. ever since then it has become a tradition that the Bloody Squids be lead by a tiefling captain and that the rest of the players be water elves. This format is perfect for their favoured strategies as both tieflings and water - elves are famously nimble and evasive races which can easily out smart some of the heavier hitting teams such as The Raging Boars.
