The One - Eyed Demon Lord of Orcs

Gruumsh is an orc god and a Demon Lord of Avernus. He is envisioned with one eye by all who named him a god and was a deity mainly worshipped by orcs. Though followers of Gruumsh maintain that their god was born with one eye, the followers of Bane insist that he lost an eye in combat with the Demon Lord. The two divine powers fought countless times, and they remained the bitterest of enemies.

Tenets of Faith

Gruumsh is the unblinking god of destruction who unleashes the savage multitudes against outposts of civilisation. He is worshipped by orcs and half-orcs and came to dominate some of the other more savage humanoids as well. Gruumsh is a brutal god who loathes the more civilised and refined races of Winval such as the humans and elves.
Orc war priests wear a patch over one eye to symbolize their worship of the orc deity. They also dress in dark red vestments, armored with war helms and black plate mail. Gruumsh's sacred animal is the giant rat, his holy day is the new moon, and he is worshipped in orcish lairs where blood is sacrificed to him monthly. Gruumsh was a god of conquest, driving his savage multitudes to expand their power by whatever brutal means they wished. His shamans advised chiefs and warmongers to raid, kill, and conquer.
Gruumsh's followers are told to follow these three simple beliefs:

• Gather and breed, and your numbers shall flourish.
• Rise up in hordes and seize that which is rightfully yours.
• Raid. Kill. Conquer.
