Zinsalu

The Zinsalu are the oldest species on the planet. To give an idea, Eulevan & Dragons are infants, whereas the Zinsalu are Ancient.   No one knows how they came into being: Did they evolve? Did they just appear out of thin air? Not even they can answer that. All they do know is that they were the first intelligent species to exist on the planet.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They have 2 arms & 2 legs like most of the humanoids of the world, however they have curved triangular bones pointing from their back, their hair is almost like liquid to the touch but able to hold a solid form, their bones have two separate parts; one that resembles most other humanoids, and the other is a woven set (spirals of flexible bone around their arms, legs, throat, spine, and a thicker shell for their pelvis & torso areas), and their skulls are partially triangular on the lower half but somewhat elongated on the upper half.   They have 8 fingers on both hands (5 fingers similar to most humanoids, but the other three coming from the lower part of the wrist - the palm side), and their feet are like that of the dragons (4 toes in front & 2 in the back).   Muscle wise, they seem incapable of gaining more than a few centimeters worth of muscle, if they were to exercise. However they make up for that lack of strength with agility & speed.   And their skin is purple but leathery scale in appearance and feeling.

Genetics and Reproduction

There are males and females, however though it does involve intercourse like other humanoids, energy is exchanged between them visibly (a small trail of mist like substance coming out of their eyes and connecting with each other), eye contact must happen otherwise pregnancy conception will always fail.   The male will be temporarily weakened by this experience for several weeks to a month, depending on their overall health, while the female will be temporarily strengthened for a similar duration which will help the formation of the fetus, also depends on overall health.   Pregnancy is confirmed after a month to two months - the female will feel a noticeable vibration, powerful enough to make her feel constricted for a few seconds, and the vibrations can be seen as a ripple effect on the skin, starting from the ends of the fingers, toes, and top of her skull leading to her stomach area. After that, the female will start to lose her ability to move cause the energy required for movement will be slowly redirected to the unborn child in the womb. She'll have roughly 5 months to consume enough food & liquids in preparation for the cocoon stage of the pregnancy - she has to gain 2x her body weight, not rapidly however, just over the course of time she has til that stage, it will become apparent that the stage is close when half of her body in encased.   Once she has been cocooned - it will take 5 more months til the birth happens. During that stage, she'll be in complete hibernation, and the male must transfer some of his energy into the cocoon once every 8 days (It is done by placing both hands on the cocoon, concentrating as if he is performing intercourse, and he'll be temporarily weakened each time).   Once the birth stage is about to happen, the cocoon will enlarge, the female will wake, the baby will be born in the cocoon with the mother emerging from her stomach area (it will open up on it's own and she'll have to remove the baby - afterward the stomach will close on its own). After that, the mother will place her hand on the inner wall, the cocoon will emit a ripple like vibration which will be the signal for the male to open the cocoon himself. Once the mother & baby are free, the pregnancy process is over.

Ecology and Habitats

They can live almost anywhere, however they prefer moist surroundings.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Their primary & preferred food source is aquatic creatures, and though they can eat most things that live on land, they rather not because dry foods are disgusting to them (Like Humans eating dirt).

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

All Zinsalu have two sets of eye, similar to most humanoids, but the arrangement of the second set differs from individual to individual - some will have the set above the primary, or on the side of the head, and may or may not be tilted.
Lifespan
500,000 years minimum

Interesting species! I would recommend using some h2 tags to break up the sections. For example you could break up the reproduction sections into conception, cocoon, and birth.   A quote in the sidebar about an outside perspective on the species could help pad out the article and its whitespace, and would help give more of an emotional attachment to the article instead of being pure informational.
