The Rot, A disease that infected Ravnica hundreds of years ago. it appeared in an isolated region in Ravnicas northern region called Tallinn, The Frozen District, and spread through the Ecumenopolis like wildfire.

Causes
There was no known cause for this virus. it appeared around 300 years ago in Tallinn, The Frozen District, and tore through the population decimating it. it spread to all of Ravnica until one day all the fungal spores went inert and the disease became non-infectious.
Symptoms
The Rot manifests in a series of symptoms, a rash that covers the entire body with a black tint to it, hair falls out as the body redirects energy to fighting the virus. In the late stages the skin becomes necrotic peeling away. in extreme cases jaws have been known to fall off as the body loses the battle against this horrible disease.
When a creature is infected with the Rot they take 1d4 Necrotic every hour. A creatures maximum health is reduced by that amount.
this they have the disease. this is enough to kill all but the most sturdy humanoids in a matter of hours.
After a person has died, they return as a zombie continuously producing spores even in this state. Eventually, the spores will overtake the host and the zombie will crumble into dust.
Treatment
A lesser restoration spell will restore the hit point total until a long rest. it will not cure the disease.
A greater restoration spell will cure the disease for a week and restore all lost hit points. The person will go into remission and not be infectious for this period, however, after that week has passed the disease comes back.
There is no known permanent cure.
