Lumi (L-ew-me)

The word 'Lumi' refers to the Sun in Florian language.
Lumi (The Sun) is the celestial object that Ravaryn orbits. It is a hot ball of hot plasma, being heated by nuclear fusion within it's core, radiating visible light, ultraviolet light, Mana and infrared radiation energy. It is the reason life is possible on Ravaryn. Lumi constantly lets these by-products off. Taking 8 minutes for light to reach Ravaryn, it brings with it heat in the form of infrared light, it brings Mana, and it brings a blazing spectacle in the sky.
Lumi is the deity of the Iluminosity, the Florian belief in praising Lumi (the Sun). This is not to be confused with Caust, the Name for the Sun God in the [W.I.P] Religion.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Florian's culture include many sigils to represent their beliefs. Some common sigils used in tribute to Lumi are:

Inbris - a sign of respect to a living organism that is killed to bring progress, advancement, or health. Written or spoken when a Florian uses a living organism for nutrients or for other reason. Such as cutting down a tree to build a home.

Decidi - representing sun fall, the beginning of night and a gratitude for another day blessed with son. Often written upon the soil outside a Florian's home before sleep.

Falen - a prayer to Lumi, to ask for divine protection, in times of need.

Tenets of Faith

Florians believe that without Lumi life would not be so prosperous, life wouldn't ever exist (This of course is true). Because of this, Florian culture believe that Lumi should be praised and thanked for its gifts, and it's guidance out of the dark. Florians are plant based organisms, so they believe they have been blessed to have evolved intelligence and therefore should look after all lesser forms of life. These morals mean almost every Florian will protect life, and never seek to harm in. In the requirement to survive, and the progression of the species, Florians have to use life as all other races do. When a Florian must end life or has caused harm to life, they will show upmost respect and possible sorrow.
