Ryuki Samurai in Ravare | World Anvil

Ryuki Samurai

This background is only available to the Frostbound Campaign.
As a Ryuki samurai, you serve one of the great clans of Seguro Gra or one their vassal Ryu. You've trained your entire life under the tutelage of your Atama and the Bushi code of the Lord Protector. Honor and loyalty are central pillars of your life. You wander the land, upholding your ideals and bonds, but your flaw has become the master of your destiny.
Skill Proficiencies: Athletics and pick one: History, Persuasion, Arcana, Nature, Stealth, Perception, or Survival
Tool Proficiencies: One type of gaming set
Languages: Boreal
Equipment: A Kenwei (set of decorative swords), Traveler's clothes, a winter blanket, 5 rations, a gaming set, a pouch containing 5 gp

Feature: Kenmei

The combination of your Kenmei blades holds weight wear you go. Those who recognize your Ryuki emblem emblazoned on your blades will recognize your skill and position. As a samurai, you can often find jobs that the people would not have originally offered to others. When looking for jobs or collecting information from individuals, people who recognize your Ryuki emblem will be more willing to trust you with information and even jobs that they would not trust to let others handle.

Variant Ryuki Samurai: Ryuki Jodo

You have served dutifully in one of the Ryuki and enjoy a position of power within the organization. You have received extensive training and are a trusted member of your Ryuki.
Rather than proficiency with a gaming set you might be proficient with vehicles (land) or navigator's tools. And instead of a gaming set, you start with a pony.
