Delving Deep

General Summary

As the party collected themselves after having been apprehended by Princess Valice's group, the team spent their evening under a tense proximity with their new, although vague, allies. As their group ventured deeper into the ruins to find anything dangerous that might lie beneath, the party took their time to rest and collect themselves.
Korva spent some time getting to know Owein, Princess Valice's prisoner, who was said to be a witch. After learning a little bit of him, Korva christened the space to aid in Owein's praying before he took his leave and went to sleep. In his dreams, he was given an eerie vision of himself on what seemed to be the Shadowfell, in a keep owned by none other than the Raven Queen. She thanked him for his aid as a warlock, and blessed him with her words, before he awoke back in reality.
Before the adventure continued, the party was hungry for whatever loot could have been hidden inside the beholder's trove. Aisleigh, who had previously sealed the chamber leading up to the beholder's trove, unsealed it with her magic, while Princess Valice's group rested, giving the party ample opportunity to loot. They made their way up the chamber, soon learning that Garroth's spells learned from the strange treatise he read were created using the wrong arcanic rituals, not allowing the spells to be cast properly. They had to make their way in a less than conventional method, wandering the strange chambers that lurked within the mountainous complex.
They first encountered a manticore, before continuing even further up the chambers. They located what seemed to be living quarters of a small contingent of orcs who made their life here. A battle ensued, where several manticore and wyverns were called in as well. In time however, the creatures were all defeated save for two orcs who were taken prisoner by the party on penalty of death.
Continuing further into the complex they passed a room that remained unexplored before finalizing themself at the trove at the end of the tunnels. After clearing out the remaining treasures, they prepared themselves to leave proud of their escapades.
