The Bhassu Villa

The Bhassu villa was contructed as the seat of power for lesser members of the Bhassu family in the realm of the Jokanen Empire outside of the palace, but still part of the capital city of Hyujin. It is truly built in the Sumiir style, with flat roofs despite the snow, large, open walkways above verdant courtyards, and grand tiled arches for doorways to every room. It even contains a watchtower outside, decorated with images of arches and horsemen from Sumiir legends.

Purpose / Function

The Bhassu villa was originally built to house the royal Bhassu family of the Jokanen Empire, as well to be their seat of power in the realm outside the palace in the capital city of Hyujin. As such, it is large and grand, with intricate carving, numerous parlors and prayer rooms, as well as quaters for their house slaves in the back, which have long rotted away to nothing.

Alterations

The villa has been fortified significantly by Ziben Bhassu and his servants, adding numerous traps and extra watchtowers. After the tiled mosaics fell off, he painted the walls with the Jokanen Empire's symbol for his operation to restore the empire. It has also slowly fallen apart over the two thousand years, leaving most of the once-great villa in ruins.

Architecture

The villa is built in the Sumiir style, with flat roofs, outdoor sheltered walkways surrounding lush courtyards, numerous personal prayer rooms, and colorful blue, red, and gold tile mosaics on the floor and the walls. Sandstone from the deserts of Nealephari, which Sumiir houses are traditionally built of, was not available, so instead it is constructed from marble and limestone.

Ziben Bhassu and his servants have turned his family's ancestral villa into a lair and base of operations for his plot to restore the empire.
