Zaryer
Zaryers were dangerous hunters. Those long animals which resemble a velociraptor have been feared by anyone. They could easily fight an entire army or raid a village. Moreover, they were the deadliest hunters in Cylyn because Zaryers were very quite and sharp chasers. Usually the biests preyed on smaller animals or even larger only for amusement but sometimes these creatures began to attack humanoids.
For example they would hurt a smaller animal like reindeers and leave it for humanoid hunters. When the trap succeeded they would ambush them. Then they would either kill them instantly or chase them through the dark woods. Sometimes Zaryers also laid quitely on the ground, hidden under leaves or undergrowth to assault the ones who stepped on them.
Moreover, they raided sheep or cattle herds in the winter months. A few would be eated instantly while the most had been kidnapped. Through these attacks Zaryers could easily survive the cold. But what they really liked where the taste of humanoid flesh. That was why those biests started to raid villages when the animal herds were consumed.
In this way their population could growth rapidly and people feared a deadly menace through them. In order to fight the Zaryer people started to burn the nests of the biests and flee from the region were many creatures would be assumed. So without any humanoid flesh the Zaryer had to prey on the animal herds.
Unfortunately royal alchemist had poisened the animals so that the biests got impotent and couldn´t reproduce anymore. After three winters armies hunted down the remaining Zaryers down.
