Wocogs
The most dangerous hyperevolved canine pack predator of the Afterfall.
The Wocog is the result of mutations, and natural cross-breeding among wolves, coyotes, and the big and strong feral dogs that ate the smaller ones after the ancients died. They are sturdy and aggressive as a wolf, cunning as a coyote, big as a great dane, and strong as a mastiff.

Basic Information
Dietary Needs and Habits
They are carnivores. They usually hunt bigger prey cooperatively in packs. If they start to starve, the Alpha male will kill the weakest member of the pack for all to eat.
They eat as much as possible to be able to endure many days without eating.
They the tend to sleep during the day, and hunt at night. In most cases, they have some kind of den, such as a cave or rock with good visibility, where they rest, eat and leave their pups.
They are very territorial. Their den tends to be in the middle of a rather vast land the pack considers its own hunting grounds, and will guard it against trespassers. They tend to patrol their territory, and they mark its borders through urine and scratchings on trees. However, if food begins to dwindle, the pack can move to another unclaimed territory, or they may try to snatch it from another pack.

Additional Information
Social Structure
They live in packs from 5 to 15 adults, depending on food availability. Each pack is led by an Alpha male, that is usually bigger, meaner and very cunning. The pack Alpha eats first, has reproductive priority and sometimes kills the male pups. The rest of the pack are mostly female, but there are some Beta and sometimes Omega males. The Alpha can be challenged for leadership. Those fights are usually to the death, but sometimes the defeated manages to escape, and is forced to leave the pack's territory, and live alone, out of smaller prey. These loners are usually looking for another Alpha to challenge, and are infamous for their violent and desperate attacks on both humans and domestic animals.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Their fur is usually reddish brown with darker irregular dots and stripes, but it is possible to find them in grey as you move north, and there are rumors about black ones that terrorize the nights.
