The hunter orders

It was said that long ago humans did not need hunters to keep the creatures of the sand flats away from their towns and cities, that a single hunter in the full regalia of brass could fight off a great host of the monsters, but alas the order of hunters have only bits of the regalia so left, the art of maintaining them lost to the ages spend struggling to survive on the sands before the war with the mansheer let them Found their own cities in the black rocks.

Qualifications

The aspiring hunter would normally be aboard a hunter vessel for a number of years learning under a member of the order before being allowed to attempt their first catch, if their hunt is secsessful they are considered for the rank otherwise they God back to apprenticing for a number of years, at this point most quit.

Requirements

Aspiring hunters need to be of a line of one of the great hunters of old as others can't wild the weapons of a full hunter.

Appointment

One of your families hunter weapons are confided to you by a elder of the family before the first catch is attempted. On failure the weapon is rehoused in the family vaults. The ultimate failure is to lose the weapon on your first catch, that would bring great dishonor to your section of the hunter order.

Duties

Other then the normal duties of the hunters providing food for their villages and other needed supplies from the bodies of fallen beasts hunters also after their first couple of years are to bring aboard a aspiring hunter.

The use of the hunter weapons of your tribe, great weapons made in a age past with the power to slay the monsters with ease, as well as whatever regalia your tribe has left. After the mansheer wars the regalias were so damaged that now it's not believed that any tribe holds more then a handful of full sets. And they areole ever are willing to risk the full sets on regular hunts.
