Nunchaku
For many years, the nunchuks were considered mere toys for children by the Magicals. They tought of it something more like juggling. It all changed not so recently in 1964, after a Magical comedian made fun of nunchuks on national TV. It became very popular among Magical children and in that same year's Christmas, it was the most gifted toy in years.
However, by New year's Eve it was reported that the vast majority of the kids who received a Nunchaku as a gift got injured by one. The parents were outraged and pushed for its prohibition in all of Powersville. Many of the manufacturers closed down after several lawsuits, even though they had warned Magical parents that Nunchuks were no toy. The comedian got part of the blame too, lost his show and his credibility. And lastly, non-Magicals lost one of their arts. This of course didn't sit well with any of the non-Magical schools, but there wasn't much they could do. Other than to teach it secretly.
