Woadsran

Unlike Humans and Orcs who's adaptability results in little morphological differences, the fey ancestry of Elvenkind leads to changes in elves dependant upon the lands in which their peoples choose to inhabit. This is further represented in a very different way in which these races live. and although to other races all elves may look the same, between them an elf will instantly be able to distinguish between a Woadsran; a Eldran; a Osheran; and a Dreodran.   The Woadsran, also known as "wood elves", "Woodskin", or children of Hælan, are the descendants of those elves that, thousands of years ago, chose to make their home amongst the flora and fauna of the forests and woods of Porphoria. Generally seen as the shortest and slenderest of the elvenkin they are quick and agile. Their eyes are often green, ranging from the emerald green of a new new leaf, to the dark muddy green of a swamp; their hair can be a multitude of colours but they often use natural dyes to colour it that of the leaves in their current season. When not wearing hunting masks to help with their camoflauge, their features are often more gracile and playful than those of other elvenkin with more joy in their eyes. Quick to laugh they make friends with, and are trusted by, woodland beasts and other races easier than other elves.   Tending to build settlements of tree houses, formed through careful cultivation of the trees, these settlements are a wonder to behold. Often the small tribes (about 200-300 elves per tribe) are lead by druids or worshipers of Hælan they are peaceful, shying away from confrontation. Due to this, many of their settlements are hidden from outsiders, however there are a few who openly trade with the rest of the Empire, such as Hayesett, where it is possible for outsiders to purchase such items as the covetted Woadsran Long Bows, the furs of Forrest Beasts, their fine silk spun cloaks, or their green hued mead Medfeun.
