Personal history

Virgil James O'Toole was born on St. Patrick's day on 1990 as the eldest son and first of three children to two professional Irish folk musicians, Geoffrey and Linda. The pair shared a deep love of music and passed it on to their son. While Virgil grew up in a happy household, he still had a lingering sadness within him that he could never place while he was growing up.   It didn't help that Virgil was a bit on the small side when he was younger, so he was a pretty common target for bullying. Virgil would spend most of his time on his own, spending his time writing and playing music and dreaming for a chance to get out of his small town and hopefully doing better things. When he was about 10 years old, he made friends with a boy his age who would make him forget about his worries, if only for a little while. When he was about 14 years old, this friend of his just vanished without a trace and this sadness of his seemed to return.   During the early spring, there were rumours going around that a production company from America were holding auditions for a show they were filming, and the idea they had in mind was that they wanted one of the main roles to go to someone from the British Isles. Virgil auditioned and was quickly selected through the process and would end up in the group's line-up as the youngest member.   When the group was demanding the right to write and perform their own music, Virgil was the person at the forefront of the music, being someone who was already writing and performing music himself. The group was facing a lot of criticism because of the fact they didn't write or perform their own music and they were felt to be illegitimate because of the fact. They won rights to be able to write and perform with legal help and Virgil would take on the role as the group's primary songwriter and lead guitarist until the group and show's cancellation.   This was not the end of Virgil's career, however, but the beginning of Virgil's long history as someone who continues to shake the foundation of the music industry. After finishing his secondary education, Virgil would get picked up to be the lead guitarist for the international project group, Zinnias. His aunt and uncle were the masterminds behind this particular group as a vehicle to launch their young daughter's music career. Although Virgil would of course go along with the conditions of the contract at first, when he saw that the other members of the group were treated poorly because of it, Virgil would lead them into a legal battle once again, another that Virgil would win, leaving Virgil with a select few members while the others would go their separate ways onto projects of their own.   Years after the dissolution of The first version of The Hyacinths, and the consequential re-branding of the group, Virgil opened Persenche Records, of which he himself is the chairman. At the label, they focus on getting their clients a fair shake in the music industry, letting them be as independent they like while guiding them along.
