Personal history

Jeremiah is a wizard, with powers that are mostly time-and-space based. Because of this, he is usually called a ‘Dimension jumper’. For the most part, his powers are not active, and he spends most of his life devoting his time to helping others in most situations. He does not have the ability to decide what time he wants to go to, or decide where he wants to go, the power acts up every few years and he is forced to live in another timeline.
From the time he was young, most of his life was a mystery to him, as he cannot recall anything before seven years old. However, there is reason to believe that Jeremiah’s parents were also dimension jumpers, or at least a wizard and witch who had the potential to pass the power on to their son.
The earliest time Jeremiah can remember himself being in was Ancient Rome in 30 AD, where he was the adopted son of a nobleman and bore the name Hiermias Hilarius. However, even though it was the earliest life he remembered, it was also the shortest one, as on the day he would first put on his toga virilis and be considered a man, he had skipped in time and place 1000 years, deposited as a seven year old in Britain. He didn’t know what his true name was, and all he could remember was being called Hiermias, and as that name didn’t reflect the culture he was taken into, he was renamed Jeremiah.
The longest time that Jeremiah had ever gone without skipping was 50 years, in which he lived a turbulent life as a husband to a woman named Clara Asher, a father to her son Nathaniel, as well as a professor of magic. This life had taken place just after a life in which he had lived 13 years in Ireland and had made friends with a young boy by the name of Virgil O’Toole, who had been traumatized by the sudden disappearance of his close friend, and consequently developed depression following the event.
Jeremiah retains all the memories of his former lives, including all of the languages that he has once learned. He is fluent in at least one dialect of most Western languages, while he only has little knowledge of Eastern languages. Being multilingual, he sometimes forgets he is speaking words of one language lapses into languages that might not fit his life situation.
