Arnwald Mac Cnáimhín

Arnwald Mac Cnáimhín

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Arnwald Mac Cnáimhín is an Animus fairy who dwells within the forest of Western Ireland with his tribe, the Bíoga na brúid (Or the Fae of the Fauna), and acts as a guardian of wildlife in the countryside.   Anrwald was born the oldest son to the chieftain of the tribe, and despite being rather a rather young fairy amongst those in the court - he is well respected as a sort of mediator of conflicts within the community and a brave warrior when need be.   Growing up, Arnwald was known to be a prodigy, his skills with shape-shifting progressing far quicker than that of his peers. Because of this great skill he was honored with a title as defender of the forest.

Education

Years of tutelage with a small class of noble-born fairies for knowledge of diplomatic affairs and the like until he was old enough to study on his own.   However, he was mostly self-taught at magic, honing his magic from watching animals in the forest.

Employment

Being of noble blood, Arnwald hasn't had much work experience outside of the roles his father would assign him to do. When he was in his mid-teens, he was usually in charge of staking out the forest on the lookout for intruders.   When he was older, he would sit in on diplomatic affairs with his father, sometimes going out of the forest to negotiate with other fairies clans about trade and other affairs.

Failures & Embarrassments

Social

Mannerisms

Speaks in a very outdated, holier-than-thou manner of speech on first meeting - usually as he's trying to intimidate, making people feel anxious about invading the territory of his people.   He carries himself quite regally initially as well with shoulders cocked back and head held high, trying hard to convey an air of importance.   Upon becoming more comfortable with the people he is around, he tends to loosen up slightly - throwing off the facade of self-importance for the most part, and although he tries to loosen up his speech as well, his manner of speaking is still quite stiff.

Speech

He has a low tone of voice that is very even and controlled - seems to rumble deeply when he gets upset.   His accent sounds as if he comes from the north side of Dublin, fairly easy for others to understand.
