Overview of Shards

Shards are the pieces of the material plane that are floating adrift in the astral sea. Shards vary in size from the size of a village to a small continent. Shards have a protective Barrier that surround them requiring a planar breach to pass through. Anything smaller than a village lacks an astral barrier.
