The Ball of Maison Voiles

Due to the recent senate vote and the four senators assassinated, the elite residing in the capital Chambery have their full attention on the senators who soon have to elect the newly opened seats. While the law does not directly state a specific number of senators at any time, it is tradition that when a senator dies while still holding a seat they are always replaced. This is a great honour, especially if replacing someone as reputable as the ones who saw their untimely demise in these tragic events! Many of the elites are grieving these great losses, however, in great times of sorrow, true citizens of Chambery must make great personal sacrifices to take up the mantle and carry it onward in the memory of our fallen heroes... In other words, gossip and intrigue is the dish of the day, and the greatest social game in decades has begun to fill this unexpected power vacuum; the capital is a warzone and everyone have started digging trenches.   As all great wars, it is fought with the tactics of the oldest and wisest generals; great balls and tournaments across the city and all big mansions try to stand out, impress and kiss ass... These half planned, rushed events are perfect for intrigue, gossip, ass-kissing and of course.. "unfortunate accidents"... This is where you come in. In two days, you will be attending the ball of the great Maison Voiles. It has been in the planning-forge for the grand total of 10 days, a rushed party indeed. While a bit late to the table the Pasquier family have recently managed to get in good standing with Fiona Leavitt, the unofficial new leader of the seafaring senators. There will be a total of three senators attending, Fiona Leavitt, Joseph Gribelin and Chrystian Polek. Together they represent three legs the table that is the seafaring emporium of Plaisir; internal trade, Plaisirs navy/army transportation, and harbour management/construction services, respectively. However after the untimely demise of Arthur Raoult they are missing the fourth leg; extranational trade and l'Ille trade relations. Maison Voiles are mediocre explores and decent tradesmen but have all days lived in the shadow of Arthurs legend. They have now seen their opportunity and intend to do all they can to reel it in.   You have been hired, due to your special skills, to attend the ball to keep an eye on things unfolding and at your own discretion make sure things do not get out of hand. Who has hired you and what your specific relation is, is up to you, however, one thing is certain, tensions are high, so this will be no ordinary ball for you...
