In the northwestern corner of Grandvisage, lies the isolated country of Plaisir. Safely sealed off by a sea to the north-west, a mountain pass to the south and a desert to the east, followed by jungle as far as anyone knows; This is a land of wealth and prosperity without any real enemies, at least if you are born in the right place. Due to its attractive location and lack of enemies, the country has become overpopulated, and even the most basic resources have begun to become a luxury for many. As certain as fencing tournaments and big ball ceremonies are in the big cities among the elite, as certain is famine and homelessness a part of everyday life outside of them. The whole country, except the most dangerous forests, hottest deserts, and most monster-filled areas, is being desperately exploited for its natural resources. For many, the natural boundaries have gradually begun to look more like prison walls than protection.   Plaisir gets most of its traditions from the wealthy cities in the north where politics and intrigue is the hammer and anvil of power. Here magic is often looked down upon by the elite and producing and selling magic items is, while not strictly illegal, a business often marked distasteful and kept hidden away. However, despite their bad reputation practitioners, of these aincient arts are as useful as ever and while none will admit to it, most of the elite often find uses for them. Many cities forbid open displays of magic and only local authorities or citizens with explicit permission are allowed to use it in public.   In the south of Plaisir, unofficially named Głowna, traditions differ greatly. The people here are more practical and magic is more often than not is utilized for its usefulness.   With the nation stretching thin, approaching a breaking point and many laymen, especially in Głowna, feeling forgotten and helpless, restlessness and desperation start bubbling in this great pot. Some even whisper of revolution. Many people have ideas and opportunities, some more desperate than others, but is it too late?
