Shadowbranch Business Guild

The town of Shadowbranch has several businesses, most of them relating to the wine industry. However, Shadowbranch is also home to artisans, craftsmen, and even a master baker. Promoting these businesses outside of Shadowbranch can be tedious, though there is one organization leading the effort - the Shadowbranch Business Guild.   The Shadowbranch Business Guild helps shine a light on local businesses to help bring in outside revenue to the city. The group consists of six residents, all of whom are involved in local businesses.   Mikel Reve - wood worker and farmer Jayson Gerrang - the owner of Four Leaves Winery Obi Ollisan - Director of the Pinegaard Wine Museum Mortin Bluehammer - the owner of the Hungry Wolf inn Arleena Windtooth - the owner of Full Moon Vineyards Reena Droon - Farmer and owner of Reena’s Riding Park   The group’s goal is to promote the town to other communities, feeling that bringing others to Shadowbranch will boost the town’s revenue and image. The organization also helps new businesses establish their footprint in the city   The group was formed in 50 AT after a former council member expressed concern about the lack of visitors and revenue in the city, as well as newer businesses that went under within a year. The founding members hired the merchant Talisin Teadrinker as a consultant. Talisin suggested they reach out to other communities to talk up the various businesses in town. He declined the group’s invitation to lead the organization.   The Guild also maintains communications with the Teadrinker Family, who live outside of the town. The Teadrinkers encourage visitors to stop in Shadowbranch and spend money on local businesses.   The Guild meets with the town council to request funds for promotion. There is some animosity between some old families and council members and the guild. The traditionalists feel bringing in visitors will hurt the town’s imagery and property. They’re also not fond of the Guild’s association with the Teadrinker family.   Another reason for the rivalry between the Business Guild and the city is a rather silly one in the eyes of some Shadowbranch citizens. Both organizations want to improve the community, but they both want the credit for themselves.
