Holbeck

A small village in the northernmost regions of the Aspaxian Empire, Holbeck was a town that sprung up around a recently discovered gold mine. After the initial supply ran out, the town attempted to dig deeper, and found another large deposit of gold. Unfortunately, they also unearthed an ancient burial ground in which a number of ghouls resided. These ghouls have taken over the mine and beset the town with attacks.

Demographics

Holbeck is mostly made up of poor, working class humans. There are a few employers and members of other races, such as dwarves and elves.

Industry & Trade

As a village, Holbeck is largely self-sufficient. It normally gets its food from small, personal farms and hunted game. Occasionally, Holbeck requires supplies from outside the village, and uses their main export of gold to purchase those supplies and pay taxes.
