The Falling Feathers

Antik Wellor was the first to discover Tela in the age of Diark. He was always seeking the next great adventure. He decided diving into The Melting Mountain would be his last big hurrah. When it was discovered he was strong enough to withstand the magma he became a legend. He brought home as much of this beautiful mineral as he could carry to the woman he had always loved from afar. She did not love him as he did her. She took the ore from him accepting the gift and he never saw her again. He dwelled on the pain and misery for decades. He enlisted his two best friends to help him create shape a piece of Tela to show his pain to the world. Prince Kentar the essence weaver and Zilot the blacksmith were the best helped Antik perfect the Tela-Tona. It is said that one day mid shaping, Antik pronounced the statue finished. He gave a relieved sigh as though the weight of the twelve foot statue itself had been lifted off his chest. then with a smile threw himself into the essence stream.

Manufacturing process

Tela-Tona is the process of refining and shaping Tela. A least one Blue Phoenix accompanied by at least one Red Phoenix per cubic foot of raw Tela, must coat the Tela in a continuous stream of fire to soften the outer shell of Tela. A essence weaver must gently swirl in ether essence from a portal, all while a blacksmith slowly chips away tiny bits of Tela until the desired shape is formed. When all streams stop flowing the Tela quickly hardens and is almost impossible to reshape unless many Blue Phoenixes and many master essence weavers work together.

Significance

Cultural artifact. Created by Antik Wellor with the second ever excavated chunk of Tela. Located in the Palace courtyard for centuries but its location is currently unknown ever since Dragons took over.
