Sir Gollwyn of Monxton

Sir Gollwyn is the bastard of Earl Roderick and though he was raised at Sarum it was not in the household of the earl. Instead, he lived a life among the knights and squired for Sir Clarembaut.

In 496 after Blains of Silchester attempted to petition for Monxton to be granted to one of his household knights, a cousin of the former vassal knight, the petition was denied by Countess Ellen and the manor granted to Sir Gollwyn instead.
