Colossus of the Place-Between-Places

Within the Northern Ridge of the Place-Between-Places, a gigantic humanoid skeleton lies pinned against a mountainside by a massive sword. The local flora have overgrown the remains of this expired colossus, suggesting that hundreds of years have passed since it was toppled.

The Colossus

The scope of the skeleton is incredible. If the colossus were to stand again, it would easily see over the highest peaks of the Northern Ridge. What kind of a creature could this have been?

The Sword

The sword which pins the colossus to its resting place is buried to its hilt in the ground. Its crossbar and handle are simple metal, without decoration or embellishment. The blade, however, is made of a dark onyx, laced with slowly moving strings of color. This moving pattern closely resembles the Chains which hold Pendent's isles aloft.
