Forks

Devil bones are used by both Fragile and grotesque. Dice, carved from fragile bone by grotesques and marked with their numbering system, humans use dice carved from horn, ivory, wood and stone.   Grotesques use these devil bones in their coy hunt ceremony and in punishment ceremony. The idea the object and reason are already decided, the punishment is arbitrary so they reason why not be random and decided by the fate of the roll.   Humans use them for games of chance. Gambling in taverns, markets and tournaments fairs. Many people carry their own dice due to many loaded dice found in these games.   Another items most humans travel with are a coin purse tied to their belt, a fork, hat or hood. A meal should never be passed up. There is no guarantee a place to eat will have enough utensils or they might be old and dirty so nearly everyone will carry a fork on them. They simply turn it on its side to use it like a knife. It is a sign of wealth to have a metal, glided or plated fork. It started with nobles as a way to show off, to slightly insult the host when invited out. Forks soon became stylized, elegant egsagerated curves, semi pressious stones in the handle, the handles elongated and widened to make room for such embellishments. Merchants began to copy the elite with pewter carved forks of their own. The lower class seeing this started with what they could afford, wood forks, and rough metal. The fashion past down the social ladder, even many homeless had their own fork of some quality. In taverns fork games came about. Fork altercations came about too, with hands the first to be stabbed. Many a fight turned to forks instead of knives.
