Tsar

Alongside Empress-Regent Sol and Kaiser Werner the First, the Tsar is most certainly the most powerful man on the planet, having the industrial and military might of the Tsardom at his command. It is a momentous task for sure, but since the days of Nikolay the First, the "Architect", there never was a drop out among the Tsars of the Aksynov dynasty. It is no different now. a Consortial delegate about the significance of the title

Requirements

Those stated in laws of succession

The primary requirement to be eligible for the throne is to be either the oldest son or daughter of the current Tsar. That, in turn, makes them the crown prince (Tsesarevitch) or crown princess (Tsesarevna). Besides, there is only one additional condition that must be met - and that is for the heir apparent to be of good health, both physically and mentally.

Unwritten ones

If the heir apparent is of a very young age, before his or her teens, a regency council is usually assembled and rules in their name. It is partially disbanded when the crown prince or princess finishes at least some form of higher education level in administration, but it still watches over the young Tsar. It is completely dissolved when the Tsar reaches the age of 21. It is then that they become adults and so can tend alone for themselves and the state.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Abdication within the Tsardom was never viewed as a sign of weak rule. More of a wise decision of a ruler who is capable of seeing his own inability to further rule. Just look at our previous Tsar, Maximillian. He abdicated for the sake of his son, our current Sergei the Third when he knew his age and mental abilities were not good enough anymore to lead such a powerful and expansive nation. This was years ago and he is still, up to this moment, widely popular and respected. Professor Albert von Herz, Tsarist historian
The Tsar cannot be dismissed by anyone else but himself. He alone holds the power to abdicate and that is the only way of a new Tsar ascending to the throne without the death of the old one. The abdication can be due to health reasons (both physical and mental), old age or simple desire of the current Tsar. The procedure is comprised of two parts. First, a formal abdication note is written by the abdicating Tsar and is then proclaimed to the general public. Second, the so-called "de-coronation" where the monarch ceremoniously abandons his crown at the steps of the Archcathedral of Oktavgrad. At that moment, the throne becomes vacant and a new Tsar can be crowned.

History

I don't understand why people often assume that the title of a "Tsar" is something of very recent origin. After all, it has been with us in some form or another since the very beginning of our civilised history. Kazimir Anikanov, Tsarist professor of history

The Daoinian Empire

The origins of the title really go back to the first Daoinian Empire, where the original title of its ruler used to be "Tesarav", the name by which the supposed first leader of the nation went by. As time passed, the title became somewhat overshadowed by the term "emperor" and largely faded into obscurity, appearing only in formal documents. After the collapse of the empire, it completely vanished for some time.

Period of fragmentation

The title of "Tesarav" resurfaced alongside the ambitions of reuniting imperial lands. Many rulers of the states that were the remnants of the old empire began self-proclaiming themselves as Tesaravs, to draw themselves closer to the old splendour of the dissolved state. In truth, the title bore no real power and was only a reminder of past glories. With time, to simplify it, it was transformed into what it is today - "Tsar".

Reunification

Throughout the entire campaign for the reunification of old imperial lands under one banner, Nikolay Aksynov always held the title close to his heart and it is due to this attachment that it was it that was chosen as the official way of calling the new state and its emperor. There was some debate on whether to use the original way it was spoken or the newer and shorter one. For simplicity's sake, the newer one was selected by the General Assembly of the Confederation and used during the coronation of Nikolay, as the first Tsar of a Holy Tsardom.

Cultural Significance

Since its official ascension to the rank of an imperial title, "Tsar" caused mixed reactions. For the Daoinian people, it was a throwback to their old days of glory and power, tying this new empire as a successor to the old one, with the use of a newer style of the title signalling that this one shall, unlike the old one, be a model modern nation. The peoples of the Central Continent, however, shuddered with fear, as they could feel the long-slain beast reincarnate itself in this new, reformed being. Professor Albert von Herz

Titular oddity of a female Tsar

If it is a woman that ascends to the throne she gains the title of a Tsar, not Tsarina, as that means the wife of a Tsar. Thus one can ask the question: "How is the husband of a female Tsar called then?" Truthfully, his question has an answer to itself contained within it, as the formal title of such a man is "husband to the female Tsar".
"Here comes forth his imperial majesty Sergei the Third of the venerable House of Aksynov, Tsar of the Holy Tsardom of the Oktavgradian Nation, Archduke of the province of Archduchy of Oktavgrad, lord and high governor of the city of Oktavgrad!" the voice of the White Guard commander resounded deeply across the hall.
"That is a lot of "Oktavgrads", isn't it? They could have varied it up a bit..." Erieyal whispered to her friend on the side. introduction of the current Tsar

The Tsar is a man even I have to fear. I have already paid the price of underestimating him and his sleeping behemoth that is the Tsardom. Empress-Regent Sol, divine leader of the Solarian Regency and manifestation of the Eatherian sun

The Aksynov Tsar, no matter if man or woman, no matter of what character or temperament, shall always be a friend for us, the Kaisers of the Vielendorf dynasty. Both our great families have a close and cordial history, one that we must never forget! It is from this kinship that our two nations have grown so close, so brotherly. And this shall last till we both stand! Werner I Vielendorf, current Kaiser of the Verfande Kaiserreich
