Outskirts

The south east part of the largest island is suprisingly not built up in any way. It is known as the Outskirts. A large wall seperates the outskirts with the rest of the city and the only connection is the OS Gateway that connects it with the downtown area.
Visiting the outskirts is strictly forbidden without special permission which is rarely granted. And drones routinely fly over the space to look for intruders as well as guarding the walls.
From what can be seen from the buildings close to the outskirts, it is a green place with high grass and flowers. There are also some trees here and there, and further out there seems to be a more dense jungle. However, since the impact cleaned out all of the trees that were there, all the trees currently here are fairly young.
It has become a common tourist attraction to sit at the top floor of Foku at the Foku bar in the Downtown district and look out over the outskirts. Also some of the most expensive houses in Eastview overlooks the outskirts as well.
Rumour has it that a few people live out in the outskirts, and that they live very simple lives, separated from almost all technology.
