Windward class airship

The Windward class airship is a large drakkeon airship used by the Merindian Empire for passenger and cargo transport.

Design and Development

The Windward class was designed in the city of Windward in the outlands, and the first one was created in the city of Windward until production was moved to the city of Thrand. This was done to prove the city's worth, and it was a successful venture. The Windward class's design was completed in 850, and the first ship was completed in 855.
The Windward class is 800 feet (243.84 meters) long, and has a passenger capacity of 450. The passengers of the Windward class all have comfortable cabins, on board restaurants, a theater, observation rooms, a hangar that carries a plane for mail transport and scouting, large downwards facing windows, large lounges and, and games rooms.
The Windward class is powered by 8 engine that push the airship forward. The windward class's engines and propellers can swivel up and down, allowing it to take off and land vertically. It can move at 150 km/h.

Operational History

The Windward class is a very successful airship, with over 400 airships being built, and with a good flight record.
