Vaalbora

Vaalbora is a large continent from the first layer of the outlands.

Climate and environment

Vaalbora is a very hot and humid continent, it rains frequently and almost the entire continent is covered in jungles. These jungles are made up of giant ferns that serve the purpose of trees, and almost all of the plants in these jungles are some type of fern.

Wildlife

Vaalboran wildlife is very strange compared to everywhere else, with the arthropods like spiders and beetles growing massive, while the vertebrates like reptiles and mammals remain small. The giant bugs and the dense jungles have made colonization of the continent rather difficult for Regius.

History

Archeological evidence shows that Vaalbora was inhabited by several native civilization that appeared at around -2,000. These civilizations were fairly sophisticated and had a complex trade network spanning much of the continent. They flourished until they mysteriously disappeared at around the year 730. The circumstances of their disappearance are a complete mystery and people are still trying to find out what happened to them. In the year 810 Regius founded it's first colonies on the now uninhabited continent, and now by 880 they have colonized the northern 40% of the continent.
