The Far lands

In the year 870 there was an expedition to reach the edge of the world, this was one of the most ambitious expedition ever undertaken, on par with joseph drake's first journey to the The Outlands. This expedition's goal was to travel directly outwards and not stop unless it had to, and once it went as far as it could go, it would gather as much information as it could on the environment there and head straight back. This expedition took around 6 years and they travelled around 1,117,200 km to finally reach their destination, what they found there is some of the strangest things ever seen.
The far lands is the name given to the place where the expedition landed, it is 1117200km away, or around 27 rings of the The Outlands. Many unexplainable things were found in the far lands, like floating islands, massive wingless flying animals, flying cities, talking trees, the sky even looked completely different, with unknown celestial bodies being seen, as well as it appearing to be permanently night despite remaining bright as day. The sky in the far lands has a yellowish brown colour too it, but many stars which are different than any seen before are visible there as well as countless unknown moons. There is a great variety of different intelligent races existing in close proximity to each other in the far lands, and these races all worship separate gods, these gods are believed to all actually exist, and be from beyond the world. Magic apparently works differently in the far lands, instead of taking years of meditation and concentration like it does in the midlands, far lands magic is based off of books and spells, saying magic words and drawing magic circles and symbols. Magic in the far lands is far more common, with it doing bizarre things like causing flying objects or rifts in reality to be common place in the far lands.
