Masirism

Masirism is a religion dominant in the deserts of northern Cocar and nearby regions in Mora.   Masirism revolves around the concepts of fate and destiny. It teaches that all things in the universe have a preordained fate that cannot be avoided. Masirism teaches that there is a council of 12 gods that decide the fate of all things, known as the twelve fates. Masirism teaches that it is possible to help learn your fate in several ways. Your eye colour, hand lines, fingerprints, could all be used to help determine your fate.

The 12 Fates

Masirism teaches that there are 12 gods known as the fates. Each of the 12 fates determines the fate of all things born or created in a certain month, and each month has it's own god. Each of the 12 fates will meet in a council sometimes to decide the fate of empires, continents, kings, and the universe.

Religious Sites

Across the deserts of Cocar and western Mora, on top of the tallest mountains, are 12 immense temples, each of the 12 temples corresponds to a certain god. Each of these temples are massive, grand, expensive, but notoriously difficult to access. Each temple is on top of a mountain, and they all have very treacherous paths leading up to them. These paths are difficult because if it's your fate to visit the temple, you will be able to make it to the temple.

Religious Figures

Masirism has oracles, which are said to communicate with the 12 fates themselves in order to create prophecies and say the true fates of others, and even the fate of the world. The predictions of these oracles are taken seriously by many, even those outside of Masirism.

Magic

Masirism teaches that the use of magic defies fate itself. Masirists don't view magic as evil however, they regard the ability to break fate as a marvelous power, and masirism teaches that eventually with enough magic, you could completely break fate and ascend to a god. This is somewhat truthful, as the extremely rare process of ascension is similar to this described event. Masirism also teaches that there is an unordered realm which never had fate given to it, and it is a place of absolute chaos. There are also fateless being from this world that are able to cross between dimensions. These being are also more commonly referred to as ghosts.
